But after switching to v6... That formula stopped working completely. _(:3」∠)_ GIVE ME BACK MY DEDEDE ALIENS!! 😱 So yeah, I ended up wrestling with this one HARD 😵💫 This was easily the toughest track to crack in the entire series 💦 With v6, I feel like genre keywords have become almost too powerful. As soon as I put “Space Rock” into the prompt, the sound it generated went miles away from the kind of Dedede-alien sound I had in my head (;´Д｀) Eventually I hit a wall, so this time I changed tactics and approached it through Simple Mode, using that as a starting point to develop a new prompt formula. Especially when it comes to rock, I think the key to Simple Mode is: How accurately can you put the sound in your head into words? ✏️ To be fair, that’s basically how I write prompts manually anyway. But with Simple Mode, you can describe what you want in natural language—basically normal sentences, even in Japanese—and Suno itself translates that into wording optimized for v6 and turns it into a prompt. So when you’re completely stuck, it can actually be a pretty useful way to break through 😃 Things like: what role each instrument should play, what kind of beat you want, the genre, the tempo, how you want the arrangement to develop... Basically, you describe the whole sound in words. So if anyone else is stuck trying to dial in v6, starting from Simple Mode and working your way toward the sound you want might be worth trying 👍 I still haven’t quite reached Planet Dedede yet... But I’m out of time for this round, so I’m returning to Earth〜🤣🚀 Still, I think I got a lot closer to the direction of that Dedede sound this time〜😅 There are still plenty of genres in my own musical toolbox that I haven’t figured out how to handle properly in v6 yet, so I’ll definitely keep experimenting from here 🤸♂️ I also made a playlist called “V6 Lab.” I’ll put these five tracks in there, along with any future v6 experiment tracks I make.
