Purpose
A poem that can be reimagined in many ways. I hate the voice, I don’t know how to change this, but after many hours of working on this song, I give up. Like it or hate it! [Intro] [fast violin runs, staccato brass, double-kick drums] [distorted electric guitar enters with palm-muted chugging] [Verse 1] To tear existence To smash it To wrest it from still opaque infinity. [Chorus] Dreams of the end At the beginning of our lives Imprinted by a singular purpose: To break existence into bits of eternity [Verse 2] You told me to tear away from myself from aging roots and clustered fears encrypted pains walled in my spirit. You told me to break into ashes. [Outro] I listened to you because you were not afraid I might disperse into eternity
