--- Stretching the persona a bit and playing around with some experimental music mash ups. Always a fan of Pirate / Sea Shanty music, so I worked to come up with something that would make sense with the style. Figured I had to do something with "Booty", and then decided to go with the title "You Ain't Plundering My Booty" to go with the idea of someone getting hit on and shutting them down hard. It worked out well, and I especially like the audio adlibs at the start and in the musical interludes. Fits really well with the rest of the songs, but also stands out. Got a couple of other experimentals to finish off the "album". Been a lot of fun! :-) ~David --- [Musical Introduction] [Sea shanty chant vocals, stomps, claps — EDM riser underneath] [Verse 1] Yeah you swagger in like you own the tide, Talking big game with that captain pride. I clock the grin, I read the sail, But your compass broke and your lines all fail. I like a joke, I like a spark, But don’t confuse bold with leaving a mark. This ship is mine, crew tight, locked, And you’re just noise on the wrong dock. [Pre-Chorus] I flirt with flair, I smile with grace, But cross that line and you’ll feel the pace. I don’t need saving, I don’t need loot, And you’re not the one who’s boarding this schooner, dude. [Chorus] You ain’t plundering my booty — no way, no sir, Hands to yourself, you misread the current. Walk the plank with that attitude, This ship don’t bend for pirates like you. You ain’t plundering my booty tonight, I run this deck and I guard it right. Yeah you can look, but the answer’s clear — Eyes forward, sailor… not here. [Verse 2 — Melodic Rap] Yeah I sail smooth, but I rule the seas, Don’t mistake my charm for a moment of ease. You talking treasure like you found a map, But I buried my gold where you can’t adapt. Crew got my back, we move in sync, You’re three drinks deep and your ship’s about to sink. I don’t play damsel, I don’t need rescue, This fantasy ends before it gets sexual. [Musical Interlude] [Music Solo] [Pre-Chorus] You can shoot your shot, keep it clever and light, But push too hard and you’re done for the night. This isn’t a game, it’s a closed-off route, And your ego just tripped over its own pursuit. [Chorus] You ain’t plundering my booty — nope, not today, Set sail elsewhere, wrong harbor, wrong bay. Walk the plank with that energy, This ship’s off limits permanently. You ain’t plundering my booty tonight, Captain of myself, I steer this ride. Read the signs, don’t act surprised — I said “no,” sailor… that’s the tide. [Bridge] Sorry, but Davy Jones Is the only one you’re sleeping with tonight. Yeah, take that talk back to the ocean, I’m booked, unbothered, and living my life. [Musical Interlude] [Music Solo] [Shanty chant returns: “Yo-ho, no means no”] [Final Chorus] You ain’t plundering my booty — make it clear, This deck’s protected, boundaries severe. I run a tight ship, I don’t play cute, When I say “no,” that’s absolute. You ain’t plundering my booty, dear, So raise your anchor, disappear. Wrong ship, wrong crew, wrong sea — Tonight belongs to me. [Outro] [Sea shanty vocals fade into EDM beat drop] Yo-ho… respect the code. [Musical Ending] [Fade Out] [End]
