Remembering that Mid-Autumn night, the cassia trees in wild bloom — Flowers drifted through my wine; the moon drowned in my cup. Tonight, high upon the tower, we drink once more, While mist clings to the gauze windows, and rain lashes the latticed screens. I would ride the wind, and seek the Maker of worlds, Yet the roads are long, and messages break on the way. In this vast hall, only the red flames of candles burn fierce — Come, let us drink deep, let us sing bold, before sorrow can claim the night.
