I never knew love until I met you I never knew faith until I finally needed it you're the light in my darkness the calm in my storm and the wind in my sails. I wouldn’t have survived without you and I can't imagine moving forward without you by my side I didn't find you until I had the courage to look. I didn't think I needed you until life took all it took. And now I stand humbly before you asking for another chance hoping you'll forgive my hubris that you'll love me despite my flaws that my mistakes won't make you turn away I was lost until I found a safe place I was scared until I found comfort among people who care. People who see beyond labels. People you put into my life for a reason. I don't have all the answers, but I know I need them. I know that questions aren't weakness and that faith can waver. But I need to see beyond my own vision for a life that can mean more. And I'm sorry I let you go for so long Doubted the light that shined within me that wasn't because of me. Something else that I wasn't seeing that was so clearly there. I hope its not too late.
