Nobody Sees It v2.0

V5.5

“Nobody Sees It” Verse 1 It’s three in the morning and I can’t shut my eyes, House is asleep but I’m awake with my lies. Not the lies that I told, those are buried and gone, The lies that I tell myself just to hold on. I sit in the dark where nobody can see, Wonderin’ how the hell I became me. Got a lifetime of regrets stacked up to the ceiling, And a thousand old wounds that still ain’t healing. I’ve heard prison doors slam more than my own front door, Spent years tellin’ myself I wasn’t hurt anymore. But pain don’t disappear just because you’re tough, Sometimes it hides in your chest and becomes who you are. I was angry at the world, angry at myself, Watched addiction slowly become my only help. Mental illness had me fightin’ shadows every night, Losin’ battles nobody knew I had to fight. And I know I hurt people. God, I know that’s true. There’s a list of names a mile long that I put pain through. I wish I could erase it, trade places somehow, But all I got is the man that’s standin’ here now. Chorus (Female Vocals) Who do you cry to when nobody knows? Who do you call when you’ve got nowhere to go? You’re surrounded by people but you’re still alone, Carryin’ a weight that nobody’s ever known. And I know your heart breaks every night, When you’re alone with the silence and the light. You keep payin’ for the man you used to be, And nobody sees… nobody sees… Verse 2 My kids don’t call much, maybe they’re better off. That thought hits hard enough to make a grown man cough. I missed too much time, too many chances gone, Now I’m lookin’ through memories just to hold on. Two marriages buried under promises I broke, Two women that loved me till I disappeared in smoke. I don’t hate them for leavin’, hell, I would’ve left too, Back then I was impossible to make it through. The hardest thing about changin’ ain’t changin’ at all, It’s standin’ back up after every single fall. It’s finally becoming somebody you respect, Then watchin’ everybody treat you like a suspect. I ain’t askin’ for a medal. I ain’t askin’ for praise. Just wish somebody noticed I’ve changed my ways. Wish somebody looked past the mugshots and mistakes, And saw how much effort it takes just to stay awake. Because every damn day is a fight in my brain, Against old habits, old scars, old pain. And some nights I win, some nights I barely survive, But I’m still here somehow, and I don’t know why. You keep payin’ for the man you used to be, And nobody sees… nobody sees… Bridge The truth? Some nights I sit outside just listenin’ to the wind, Wonderin’ if I’ll ever feel whole again. Wonderin’ if the world would notice if I disappeared, Or if I’d just become another story people feared. Not because I wanna die… I’m just tired. Tired of apologizin’. Tired of explainin’. Tired of relivin’ things that already hurt enough. Tired of feelin’ thirty years behind everybody else. Verse 3 So I climb on my bike and I ride through the night, Engine singin’ songs under highway lights. For a little while the noise in my head gets quiet, For a little while I don’t feel like I’m fightin’. No prison walls. No judgment. No shame. No ghosts callin’ me by my old name. Just cold air, open roads, and the stars above, Tryin’ to remember what peace feels like. Maybe tomorrow they’ll still see the old me. Maybe they’ll never believe what I’ve become. Maybe some wounds don’t close all the way. But if you look close enough… You’ll see a man who’s sorry. A man who’s broken. A man who’s tired. A man who’s trying. Final Chorus (Female Vocals) I see the tears that nobody sees, I hear the prayers you whisper on your knees. You can’t undo the past, no matter how hard you try, But that old man is gone… and I know why. So when the darkness tells you you’re alone, Remember you’re still standin’, you’re still holdin’ on. You are more than all your history, Even if nobody sees… Even if nobody sees…
