The world needs Superheroes, we hear that battle cry Students and teachers together- ready to really try. From early morning home rooms to the end of day bell students and teachers meet, so much disinformation to dispel. Environmental clubs are forming in schools, camps and centers Taking actions locally as stewards and caring mentors. Climate change is real, we must start with that discussion, Ignorance is no excuse, anxiety and fear the repercussion. States are starting to mandate, that the science must be covered, In all subjects and all grades, curriculum is uncovered. Remember the movie “Don’t look up”, here we go again, It’s all too clear to most of us- If not Now- When? It’s up to us to change our ways, to tackle all the “spinning”, The CEO’s and political leaders, seem to think they’re winning But the changing Earth is crying out, the solutions all are known We must address this crisis now-with everything we own. We see flooding on the news; we watch rivers running dry We see our forests burning, sending toxic smoke into the sky. We see the ocean currents failing and climate patterns change We admit that it’s not Normal- it’s all very strange. This is where we all must agree, It’s us that caused these shifts The rush for power and all the greed have caused these dangerous rifts. Every lesson, every meeting is a chance for us to choose To protect what we love, we must fight not to lose. We turn fear into actions; that’s how change gets made In every subject we plan with kids in every single grade. We’re Unstoppable, in every school in each and every town Raising climate smart voices untill the sun goes down. When the world needs Superheroes, we won’t back away We show up, stand together, planet protectors here to stay! Together we are Unstoppable! So many scientists in the field, toiling every day, regenerative farming and clean energy are showing us the way. The pendulum is swinging and science will once again be wise The goal is to save the planet, Human Kind is on the RISE! Humanity must matter, and empathy must spread We must end the foolish greed that all humans dread. The future can be green and lush, with AI under control, With planet stewards on alert and always on patrol. We will “Look Up” and see what’s real, and keep our eyes wide open That is what it takes to win, our message will be spoken.
