You’re staring at the ceiling Clock says 3am Every prayer feels empty Like it hits the ground again You’re tired of all the questions “Where is God in all of this?” You can’t see past the pressure Just a tunnel Just the mist Don’t give up God is working while you’re waiting Don’t give in To the voice that keeps you breaking When you think there’s nothing left Grace is running to your mess He is mighty in your weakness Even now Don’t give up He’s about to show you how You count the doors that closed on you Name each quiet “no” You think you’ve missed your moment You think it’s time to let it go But Heaven’s not in panic Heaven’s not confused Every tear Each setback Is a stage He’ll stand and use Don’t give up God is working while you’re waiting Don’t give in To the voice that keeps you breaking When you think there’s nothing left Grace is running to your mess He is mighty in your weakness Even now Don’t give up He’s about to show you how Right here Right now He can turn it all around (oh, around) One word One breath And your desert’s holy ground He has not left He’s closer than your doubt Hold to His promise This is not the ending now Don’t give up God is working while you’re waiting Don’t give in To the voice that keeps you breaking When you think there’s nothing left Grace is running to your mess He is mighty in your weakness Even now Don’t give up He’s about to show you how Keep obeying in the shadows Keep on walking through the night Every step is heard in Heaven Morning’s coming with the light Lord, I am weary I will trust in You And obey I know You will come through. I thank You for teaching me greater faith. Amen
