Steppe Arrow, Wild Horse

Built around layered Tuvan throat singing and droning low chants, the piece opens with deep overtone harmonics and rhythmic vocal pulses, Minimal percussion—think hand drum or shamanic rattle—locks in with occasional jew's harp, evoking a raw, earthy musical landscape

[Verse 1] Loose reins Cold wind Mane in his hands Not the leather Eyes on a man in the distance Knees talk Horse listens Four legs hammering the plain Heart beating the same rhythm [Chorus] How you loose an arrow on a wild horse? Breath first World next Let the body aim before the eyes Lean with the lunge Feel the ground run Bow arm floating Drawing sky How you loose an arrow on a wild horse? You learn to fly Before you try [Verse 2] He stands in the stirrups a moment Weight off the spine Off the mouth Twist at the waist Not the shoulders Let the chest still face the south Arrow already between fingers String knows the taste of his hand He waits for the stride to get quiet That half-heart beat where hooves land [Chorus] How you loose an arrow on a wild horse? Breath first World next Let the body aim before the eyes Lean with the lunge Feel the ground run Bow arm floating Drawing sky How you loose an arrow on a wild horse? You learn to fly Before you try [Bridge] Not rage Just calm in the chaos (hey) The faster he rides The slower time walks He hears the gap in the thunder That stillness between two thuds He releases right in the silence And the arrow runs ahead of the blood [Chorus] How you loose an arrow on a wild horse? Breath first World next Let the body aim before the eyes Lean with the lunge Feel the ground run Bow arm floating Drawing sky How you loose an arrow on a wild horse? You learn to fly Before you try
