[Intro] It’s been a long time They’ve called him underdog I’ve been there too — oh friend, oh yes [Verse 1] Oh, they were so sure — yeah, so sure Stepped his name under their shining shoes Let him slip right through the cracks Now it’s time to rise — before anyone knows [Hook] Underdog-underdog, ignore me Underdog-underdog, now face me Every no, every no, cuts me free Dust to diamond, blind them in peace Underdog-underdog, saying goodbye with a kiss deadly With a kiss deadly, yeah [Verse 2] Porsche, Maserati, champagne, caviar Private jets, yacht parties never pause They call it their vision? Aha-aha Ask their bodyguards — aha-aha [Hook] Underdog-underdog, ignore me Underdog-underdog, now face me Every no, every no, cuts me free Dust to diamond, blind them in peace Underdog-underdog, saying goodbye with a kiss deadly With a kiss deadly, yeah [Bridge] Finally, awakened heart roaring Oh, no fear, no misery, no more Finally, entered the brand new world Oh, no fear, no misery, no more We turn to one another — oh-oh Maybe they’ve lost in their own hollow, oh no, Oh yes, we’ve carved our new road [Hook] Underdog-underdog, ignore me Underdog-underdog, now face me Every no, every no, cuts me free Dust to diamond, blind them in peace Underdog-underdog, saying goodbye with a kiss deadly With a kiss deadly, yeah deadly...
