[Verse 1] Out in the bush where the gumtrees sway I met a roo who had a lot to say He flexed his arms and he tapped his toes I said alright mate let's see how this goes [Prechorus] The sun was high The air was dry His eyes said mate you're gonna cry [Chorus] I wrestled a kangaroo Bare hands and no shoes He boxed me twice I called it a truce He hopped He kicked My pride got nicked Out in the bush I'm just a loose screw [Verse 2] He threw a jab then a cheeky grin I ducked too slow He grazed my chin I said "Oi Skippy Is that your best?" He puffed his chest like a real contest [Prechorus] A wallaby watched A cockatoo squawked The emus laughed as I got clocked [Chorus] I wrestled a kangaroo Bare hands and no shoes He boxed me twice I called it a truce He hopped He kicked My pride got nicked Out in the bush I'm just a loose screw [instrumental guitar solo] [Chorus] I wrestled a kangaroo Bare hands and no shoes He boxed me twice I called it a truce He hopped He kicked My pride got nicked Out in the bush I'm just a loose screw
