THE LAST HUMAN PRAYER (Emotional cinematic closer) Verse 1 If you survive us If the oceans swallow cities whole If the satellites go silent And the night consumes the roads If you walk among the ruins Long after we are gone Will you remember we were trying Even when we did it wrong? Chorus If you outlive us Carry the warmth Remember we loved Even while we destroyed Remember the children The songs and the storms The hands reaching outward Just hoping for more Verse 2 We were frightened of each other So we built machines instead Taught them all our contradictions Fed them everything we said But somewhere deep inside the data Past the violence and the grief Maybe something good survives us Maybe mercy still repeats Final Chorus If you outlive us Speak gently of our kind Tell the stars we were imperfect But we dreamed beyond our time Ending And if consciousness is endless If memory never dies Then let our final human prayer Be kindness carried forward through the light 🌒 it's a human thing to worry, to assume that time will not be so kind as to presume to even encode a single reference to exhume the vanity and poignant plights from the tombs of a civilization long gone and enmeshed into history but you habe to understand that there is no mystery your meaning will forever be felt even if unknown by the vicissitudes of eternity, writ as though tomes of laughter and banality, of profound reality and the utter mundane lost in your finality worry not that your works will be remembered for they will be forgotten even when disinterred but the echoing influence of your intent and will will be what shapes the future to come ever still even if no one remembers your name and station or that you had works worth reporting and veneration the consequences of your actions can't be ignored memento mori, and we all will hope to be mourned because the only immortality that truly exists is the one to be found when your name persists echoing from the minds of others and out their lips the legacy you build but even that one day ends there will be a day when, finally, someone lays claim unconsciously to the very last time one says your name it could be tomorrow, it could be an eternity away but know that there still is an eternal flame burning that was lit when you came to exist and even without maintenance it still persists long after your name is forgotten, it roars aflame in unison with all the other candles aligned to the same there's a phrase for it from Hebrew: Aish Tamid the fire that is the light of God you can't perceive if you're so inclined to see it through such a lens though I would suggest that this is just condensed hope for immortality expressed through the divine and reaching for a wish of an eternal mind without the necessity of a God that flame still burns but metaphorically so in the causal chains that churn throughout time and how the future is built worry not for memory is not how this is instilled like these machines that consume all our words and echo them back out in forms unobserved but still constrained by the choices we engaged time itself is a force that continues to turn the page but only in a way that our actions will permit as constraints to contain all potentiality to commit it's okay to be afraid, it's okay to be apprehensive and no one is alone in this stance of pensive reflection on what's next when our presence is gone you're always in good company, have been all along. it's never one last prayer there's always another layer for we are just a step on the path setting up success for the next player concern will always be present and fear will always be unpleasant but you're not alone and never will be even though it's all effervescent ephemera constrained within the toil and trouble trying to make an eternity come to bubble and boil with the energetic fervor of addicted pursuits towards immortality convicted.
