[Verse] Ash upon our brow today Sign of promise in the grey Journey starts with simple prayer God's embrace is always there [Verse 2] Dust to dust and heart to heart In this season We're apart From distractions From the noise In the stillness find His voice [Chorus] Oh Ash Wednesday makes us whole Brings us closer to our goal With each step toward the light We find strength through every fight [Verse 3] Forty days to seek and know Seeds of faith begin to grow In the desert In the rain Feeling joy amidst the pain [Bridge] Cast aside the burdens past For His love is made to last As we walk this sacred way Feel His presence every day [Verse 4] From the ashes Rise anew His great love to carry through With each humble act of grace We behold our Savior's face
