The Day I Left the Field (離開操場的那一天)

The Day I Left the Field 離開操場的那一天 Morning train is way too loud Only my headphones calm me down Uniform’s packed away for good Now the world feels bigger than it should Rows of desks, they look the same Still I feel outside the frame Resume filled with dreams I chased But they say “not enough” to my face Boss’s voice is cold like rain Falling on my work again Laughter echoes past the door Like I don’t belong here anymore Sometimes I just drift away Back to that field at end of day We said we’d shine when we grow up So where did all that go? If I could go back again I’d run through those halls with all my friends All those noisy, careless days Were the freest place I’ve ever known Now this city feels too wide And my dreams are hard to find In the crowd I lose my way Still searching for a sign Rooftop wind at break of noon Feels like something I once knew For a second I can breathe Maybe I’m not lost completely Maybe everyone out here Gets a little lost somewhere All the nights I felt denied Just mean I’m still learning how to try Even if the road is far I’ll keep moving where you are That old sky I used to see Still remains in me If our youth was just a spark At least it burned inside the dark All the laughter that we shared Still shines somewhere in my heart Even if right now This world feels so cold I will carry all that light Wherever I go Maybe someday looking back This will all just be a track Every step I couldn’t see Leads me where I’m meant to be I will keep on moving on Even if it takes too long With that wind behind my back I won’t fade into the dark Even if the night is long I know the light is never gone Holding onto that blue sky I’ll keep going on Night train slowly fades away City lights like stars that sway The day I left that open field I’m still learning how to fly
