Jude: The Fight for the Faith Once Delivered to the Saints
Introduction Jude, the brother of James, writes with a fervent pen, shaken by the infiltration of ungodly men who pervert the grace of God. "Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints." Verse 1 Ungodly men have crept in unawares, Turning our God's grace into sinful affairs. Denying our only Master and Lord Jesus Christ, They walk in their passions, by fleshly lusts enticed. Chorus But you, beloved, build yourselves up on your holy faith! Pray in the Holy Spirit without any feigned wraith. Keep yourselves in the love of Jehovah each day, Waiting for eternal life and His returning ray. Verse 2 Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, Saying the Lord would come with judgment applied, Accompanied by His myriads of holy angels so bright, To convict the rebels and silence their proud might. Chorus But you, beloved, build yourselves up on your holy faith! Pray in the Holy Spirit without any feigned wraith. Keep yourselves in the love of Jehovah each day, Waiting for eternal life and His returning ray. Verse 3 Now to Him who is able to keep you from falling, And to present you faultless before His calling, To God our only Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord, Be glory and majesty, dominion and reward! Chorus But you, beloved, build yourselves up on your holy faith! Pray in the Holy Spirit without any feigned wraith. Keep yourselves in the love of Jehovah each day, Waiting for eternal life and His returning ray. Final Outro ...Before all time, and now, and forevermore! Amen.
