[verse] One day, on my way home from work This man on the street called me a jerk Now, the good Lord says to turn your cheek But I knocked that man clear to next week Now you know I always try To walk straight and narrow in his light But that's easier said than done And Jesus died for that reason [chorus] It's alright to sin If you let Jesus in Yes, it's alright to sin Just let Jesus in If you believe he died for you You can do what you wanna do Yes, if you just let Jesus in It's alright to sin [verse] I'm sure you know I love my wife And I swore those vows to hold her tight But every now and then I get bored After she's in bed, I slip out the door Now it don't count, it's just pleasure I wouldn't need a whore if my wife was better I'm married, not dead, son And Jesus died for that reason [chorus] It's alright to sin If you let Jesus in Yes, it's alright to sin Just let Jesus in If you believe he died for you You can do anything you want to All you gotta do is let Jesus in Because It's alright to sin [verse] Now, you recall that man from before Called me a jerk and I laid him on the floor The good Lord says to forgive and forget But I hadn't quite forgotten yet And by now you know how this goes So I tracked him down to his home And buried him when I was done And Jesus died for that reason [chorus] Because It's alright to sin If you let Jesus in Yes, it's alright to sin Just let Jesus in If you believe he died for you You can do what you wanna do Yes, if you just let Jesus in It's alright to sin
