The Narrator’s Best Christmas

[Verse] 'Twas the night before Christmas in 1983 And all through the town Not a creature could sleep All the stockings were hung All the presents were wrapped And they never knew what hit 'em 'til the radio cracked All the kids got loose in the studio booth And that’s the truth They cut the lights Kicked off the mics Like a miracle in the nick of time [Chorus] The town will never know how they did it But the kids saved Christmas that day It was '83 on Christmas Eve And we sang and we danced and we laughed And we loved and we lived Like it was the first one we'd ever seen It was the best Christmas of my life We all remember where we were that night When the kids saved Christmas [Outro] And it was me I was there I was one of the kids I was one of the kids that day
