# ONE LAST STAND — PART I: THE QUEEN ### [Intro — Sirens / Heavy Instrumental] *Sirens. Gunfire. The hive shakes.* The last civilians are leaving. The last dropship waits. But one thing still stands between us and home— **The Queen.** Jason raises his rifle. **“This is it.”** ### [Verse 1] Steel is shaking underneath our feet Smoke is choking out the light The whole damn hive is coming down But we're still here tonight Arch brings the Smartgun Jon brings the flame Shy stands beside us Ghosty calls my name Five battered Marines One monster left to kill We've lost too many getting here **But we're standing still.** ### [Chorus] **ONE LAST STAND!** Against the Queen! **ONE LAST STAND!** The worst we've ever seen! We've fought through hell We've watched our brothers fall And if this is where we die— **Then we'll die standing tall!** **ONE LAST STAND!** No turning back! **ONE LAST STAND!** We're holding the line! If we're going down tonight— **She's coming down with us!** ### [Verse 2] The Queen crashes through the line Arch fires till the barrels glow Jon sends fire through the smoke But she keeps coming on Shy gets thrown against the steel Ghosty hits the ground Jason empties his magazine And still she won't go down Arch is bleeding Jon can't lift his arm Shy can barely stand Ghosty's losing blood Jason looks around. **“Everybody with me?”** A broken chorus: **“Yeah.”** ### [Breakdown — Slowing] The Queen tears through the barricade. Arch goes down. Jon's flamer runs dry. Shy can't stand. Ghosty crawls for her weapon. Jason pulls the trigger— *Click.* Nothing. The Queen towers above him. Jason slowly rises. Blood running down his armor. **“Come on.”** **“Finish it.”** ### [MUSIC DROP] *FWOOOOOSH!* A wall of flame erupts across the Queen. Jason looks toward the smoke. A battered figure steps forward. Flamer in hand. **Amelia.** ### [End — Instrumental Carryover] **Jason:** “Amelia?” **Amelia:** “You looked like you needed some help.” Flamethrower roars.
