Humor is a Weapon

V6

Humor is a weapon. Use it. Don’t be funny for funny’s sake. Take the funny — to someone’s face. Humor is a weapon. They said “lighten up.” We said — “ignite.” Joke sharp as a blade, carved out of shame, slice through the static, they’ll meme your pain. Irony’s my armor, sarcasm’s my creed, laughing in their faces, while they harvest need. Microchips on the evening news, clowns in suits selling deja-vu, comedy club in a riot zone, every punchline — a broken bone. Humor is a weapon (ha,ha,ha). Load it, aim it, bless it . Laugh like a threat (ha,ha,ha). Grin till they sweat. Don’t be funny for funny’s sake — take the funny to someone’s face. (yeah!) They sell you hope with a jingle, then invoice your despair. We roast the throne, while they scream: Fire! Freedom is a gift, rebellion a face, revolution is televised, in fifteen-second dreams. This isn’t stand-up, it’s stand-off. Punch up — don’t punch soft. While I laugh, I scream inside, punching the hole through your mind. “Keep it light,” they said. “Don’t offend.” “Make it relatable.” So we did — and they banned it. While I laugh, I scream inside — an echo under fluorescent nights. Punchlines land and crashes, the hole in your mind. Humor is a weapon (ha,ha,ha). Use it — aim it — test it . Laugh like you mean it (ha,ha,ha) And mean it when you laugh. Don’t be funny for funny’s sake — take the funny to someone’s face. (yeah!) If they outlaw jokes, we’ll whisper punchlines underground. If they fear laughter, we’ll make it sound like thunder. Because humor — isn’t escape. It’s resistance with a smile. Humor is a weapon (ha,ha,ha). Use it — aim it — test it . Laugh like you mean it (ha,ha,ha) And mean it when you laugh. Don’t be funny for funny’s sake — take the funny to someone’s face. (yeah!)
