O Sleepless Night (mental health parody of O Holy Night)
O sleepless night, our brains are buzzing wildly, It’s group again, we’re clinging to our chairs. The day was long, our coping skills were fragile, We shuffle in like overworked au pairs. Our thoughts cascade, our spoons are gone completely, Yet here we sit, pretending that we’re “fine.” Fall on the couch, O hear the group start venting, O long, long night, O night of MSR. O long, long night, O night of MSR. Led by the light of cold fluorescent ceiling, We grab the forms we swore we’d done last week. We rate our mood from “blah” to “near collapsing,” Then joke we’ll need a snack break just to speak. The timer ticks, someone begins their spiral, We pass the fidgets like communion wine. Fall on the couch, O hear the group confessing, O long, long night, O night we’re all “just tired.” O long, long night, O night we’re all “just tired.”
