Canto Ultima - "Hymn of the Storm"

+ Show full styles

Five years after the death of her beloved, Alice has returned. And yet, she is not the same girl. Going by the name Testament, she has forsaken her entire humanity—literally ripped the flesh and organs from her sleek metallic frame—and now she travels the systems once more. But this time, she is not searching for the gods. She intends to become one. Deep within the records of Feo Odain’s Cosmic Archive, she found ancient writings speaking of the Rave, the Canto Ultima. Legend has it that it had not always existed, and that great sacrifices could theoretically manifest a new canto. It is with this knowledge that Alice sets out to craft her paradise, a canto called the Electronica. ================================================== [Testament] Five years ago, this very day, These parasites took it all away. Empty vows and hollow words, All that they could spare. Five years ago, Alice died. Nobody cared, no one cried. This one you see is something more: A testament of faith. Follow me into the storm; I will lead us home! I call it Electronica: A paradise for synthetic life, Canto born from robot faith. They say it can't be done. I have studied the ancient tomes, Of how this world came to be. A sacrifice ignites the spark, And we will all be free. Follow me into the storm; I will lead us home! I am the voice that calls to you! I am the hand that swings the blade! I am the love resounding and true! I'll be the god of the synthetic race!
