Woke up this morning, ready to fight, Grabbed the phone, it’s time to dial right. First call’s a bust, the gatekeeper’s mean, “Not interested, try again, what a scene!” Second one’s worse, they hang up too fast, My patience is fading, it’s not gonna last. “Stop calling me!” they yell in my ear, But I keep dialing, ‘cause I’ve got no fear. 100 dials, 100 dials, here I go, Ring, ring, ding ding, let’s start the show! They hang up, they laugh, they say “No way,” But I’m dialing again, ‘cause it’s my day! The third call’s the same, “Who’s this now?” “I told you, don’t bother!” I furrow my brow. The next one’s worse, a “Please don’t call me!” But I’m not backing down, just wait and see. Call after call, my fingers are sore, I think about quitting, but I can’t ignore That one call away, that magic moment, It’s gotta happen, I can’t just blow it. 100 dials, 100 dials, here I go, Ring, ring, ding ding, let’s start the show! They hang up, they laugh, they say “No way,” But I’m dialing again, ‘cause it’s my day! And then it happens, a voice on the line, “Who’s this?” they ask, I’m feeling fine! It’s a CFO, clear as day, I’m asking my questions, no delay. He fits all the blanks, answers so right, “We need to meet soon, this feels so tight!” I set the meeting, I’m feeling on top, From 99 no’s, to a big, loud “Stop!” 100 dials, 100 dials, I’ve made it through, Kept dialing, kept trying, and now it’s true. Ring, ring, ding ding, I finally win, I got the meeting, let’s begin!
