[intro] [Verse 1] The offshore lights are fading in the night, Another long day in the cold, harsh light. I’ve been counting weeks, counting days, Dreaming of that warm and familiar gaze. [Pre-Chorus] This year I swapped a shift with a mate, Finally, I can make it before it’s too late. The thought of home keeps me going strong, I’ve waited too long to hear that Christmas song. [Chorus] I’m coming home for Christmas, Through the snow, through the wind, through the frost. I can’t wait to see their faces, And the joy when they open the gifts I’ve brought. Yeah, I’m coming home for Christmas, And it feels like I’ve found what I’ve missed the most. [Verse 2] The roads are long, the radio hums, I picture my children, and their laughter comes. My wife by the fire, a warm Christmas tree, All the little moments I’ve longed to see. [Pre-Chorus] The tanker lights fade, the night turns still, Every mile brings me closer to the thrill. The smell of cinnamon, the snow at my door, I’ve been away too long, but I’ll be here once more. [Bridge] The clock ticks slow, my heart beats fast, I see the memories, the years gone past. No more rigs, no more offshore lights, Just home and love on Christmas night. [Final Chorus / Outro] I’m coming home for Christmas, Through the snow, through the wind, through the frost. I can’t wait to see their faces, And the joy when they open the gifts I’ve brought. Yes, I’m coming home for Christmas, Finally home for Christmas, Finally home for Christmas…
