CARICOM STILL WORTH IT - DE MIGHTY MARCUS

Verse 1 Plenty noise across de land, Plenty hot talk, plenty grandstand, One set vex and one set hurt, Dragging CARICOM through de dirt. But Byron Blake step up and say, Don’t throw de whole house down today, After all de work and all de fight, CARICOM still worth de bite. Chorus CARICOM is still worth it, Don’t abandon ship and curse it, Mend de crack and try to fix it, Regional unity still worth it. CARICOM is still worth it, Though some bruise it and some twist it, From de start till now history prove it, CARICOM is still worth it. Verse 2 He labour long in de vineyard too, Saw what vision and sweat could do, Saw de ruffle, saw de pain, Saw men fall out and link again. Behind de scenes he smooth plenty crease, Trying always to preserve de peace, Cause those who build know every brick, And know you can’t just abandon it quick. Chorus CARICOM is still worth it, Don’t abandon ship and curse it, Mend de crack and try to fix it, Regional unity still worth it. CARICOM is still worth it, Though some bruise it and some twist it, From de start till now history prove it, CARICOM is still worth it. Verse 3 Yes, de public watching every move, And leaders now have much to prove, Trust once shake does take some time, To steady back in people mind. But tear it down is not de way, Not because of one hard day, Byron say give truth its place, And let de region save its face. Bridge Credit those who build de road, Credit those who bear de load, Even when de tempers split, De Caribbean still must knit. Final Chorus CARICOM is still worth it, Fight for better, don’t desert it, Challenge wrong but don’t upend it, This integration must be mended. CARICOM is still worth it, Future generations need it, From Georgetown straight to Basterre, De regional cause still living here. [Spoken] CARICOM still worth it, Don’t just cuss it, come and fix it, CARICOM still worth it, Regional unity worth it.
