Pure nightmare horror built on a slow wooden knocking pulse that mimics footsteps climbing stairs, Each knock lands like a footstep, then the rhythm drags forward and suddenly stops before continuing again, The counting of the steps is synchronized with the knocks: a fragile Japanese female voice whispers each number slowly from one to thirteen, every number landing exactly on a knock, Between numbers the space fills with distant breathing, scraping wood, faint whispers, and unsettling movement inside the walls, Staccato ghost-choir bursts appear suddenly at certain numbers, sharp and brief, like spirits reacting to the count, As the numbers rise the atmosphere becomes tighter, darker, and more suffocating, By step twelve the knocking becomes hesitant and wrong, When thirteen is spoken the knocking stops completely, leaving an unnatural silence before a quiet breath appears behind the listener
