When Silence Falls

Psalm thirty four, verse seven. The Angel of the Lord stands watch around those who fear Him. Deliverance follows... Threats do not! Embers rise, Ashes descend, Heed the warning, One step closer to the end Another day passes, Another sunrise, Madness, chaos, A mother’s cry Darkness, betrayal, Absence of light, Drifting with demons, The Angel of the Lord takes flight Judgment descending, The sky turns black, Rivers run red, As evil is unmasked No wings of mercy, no olive branch, He walks the line where the faithful can’t, When heaven moves, it strikes as one, The Angel of the Lord, the reckoning begun He strips the crown from borrowed thrones, Steals the breath from violent bones, Fire passes, leaves the root, Silence falls, and life resumes Ash settles where the screaming stood, The ground remembers what it could, Hands unclench, the sky relents, Judgment ends. The world repents. Silence holds what wrath erased, A scar remains, a cleansed place, From fire passed and truth restored, The world still stands By the Angel of the Lord
