[spoken male vocals] Back in my youth, you know, uh, my grandparents, they um... they took us and they raised us four boys. My mom, she had a lot of kids and uh... she had a... she had a hard life. And uh, my grandparents were like you know, I'm not gonna let these children live life in this society that, uh, you know, in Alabama when it used to be black-white and white-black and you had to sit in the back of the bus and all that blah blah blah. They moved us to Las Vegas, Nevada and uh, they didn't want us to feel that racism and all the stuff that, you know, was going on back then. And uh, yeah, I'm totally just grateful that I was raised by my grandparents and they made me who I am today. I love.... I don't have hate man... good times.... I really miss 'em and I wish I had 'em here right now... [vocalist takes a breath] I think about 'em all the time. Uh... I remember one time my grandfather, he... he went out to the gun range and he... [vocalist laughs] my uncle gave him his shotgun and uh, Pop goes and he asks he says, "Does this have a kick?" And my uncle says, "Uh, yeah, you might want to sit down for your first shot." And this is like an old base that's non-existent anymore but it's just flat concrete, you know, it's still got the concrete... Anyway, he squatted down and not one knee down, he just squatted down and pulled the trigger and landed right on his butt. [vocalist laughs] Um, there was another time where Pop says, "We're gonna go fishing." And uh, we went fishing. Um, yeah. So many memories, so many memories bro... good times. My grandfather actually, he worked for Douglas Air Force Base, he was in the service. And uh, my granny, she was an R N, And uh, they stopped working, they stopped working and... took care of us boys and uh, yeah what a blessing... On that note, look at me now... I'm smiling, I'm 60 years old, and I'm living the good life and I'm so grateful for them. Beyond grateful for them. That's all I got. I love y'all.
