[Verse]
The circus rolled in after dark,
With faded wagons painted red.
The posters promised thrills and laughs,
But something else was there instead.

The calliope was out of tune,
The lions would not leave their cage.
And every clown wore painted smiles
That never seemed to match the stage.

[Pre-Chorus]
The ringmaster said,
"Step right in,
The show's about to start."

But everybody in the town
Felt a coldness in their heart.

[Chorus]
Under the big top,
Beneath the carnival lights,
Someone's waiting in the shadows
For the last show tonight.

The music keeps playing,
But something isn't right.
There's a killer at the circus
For the last show tonight.

[Verse]
The acrobat missed her final leap,
The strongman vanished after ten.
The fortune teller packed her cards
And wasn't seen again.

The Ferris wheel kept turning slow,
The mirrors stretched from wall to wall.
And somewhere in the House of Glass,
You could hear a distant call.

[Pre-Chorus]
The crowd kept cheering,
Unaware
Of what moved through the dark.

A silent figure drifting
Just beyond the spotlight's arc.

[Chorus]
Under the big top,
Beneath the carnival lights,
Someone's waiting in the shadows
For the last show tonight.

The music keeps playing,
But something isn't right.
There's a killer at the circus
For the last show tonight.

[Bridge]
Round and round the carousel,
Round and round the years.
Some say every autumn
The circus reappears.

The tents go up by moonlight,
The tickets all are free.
But when the dawn arrives,
One less face is seen.

[Breakdown]
The lights go out.

The crowd goes still.

The music stops.

The night grows chill.

One spotlight.

Empty stage.

A painted grin.

A rusted cage.

[Final Chorus]
Under the big top,
Beneath the carnival lights,
The laughter turns to whispers
On the last show tonight.

The wagons leave at sunrise,
And fade beyond our sight.
But the killer keeps returning
For the last show tonight.

[Outro]
If you see the posters
Nailed to the old fairground gate...

Don't buy a ticket.

Don't stay late.

Don't wait...

For the last show tonight.
