Tithing: Putting God First (Jose A. Becerra) [Apr 2026]

A simple law from ancient days, One tenth returned in grateful praise. Not just money, but heart and will, Putting God first — this is the thrill. Tithing — putting God first, A covenant promise, a sacred thirst. Open the windows of heaven wide, Blessings pour down from heaven’s side. It changes the heart, it clears the mind, A mighty shift for all mankind. When we give first what God has given, We find the path that leads to heaven. Tithing — putting God first, A covenant promise, a sacred thirst. Open the windows of heaven wide, Blessings pour down from heaven’s side. Not out of duty, but out of love, Returning to Him who reigns above. Faith becomes action, trust becomes sight, Putting God first brings heaven’s light. Young or old, rich or poor, The promise stands forevermore. He who gives with cheerful heart, Will never walk alone, set apart. Tithing — putting God first, A covenant promise, a sacred thirst. Open the windows of heaven wide, Blessings pour down from heaven’s side. So let us give with willing hands, And watch how heaven understands. Tithing — putting God first, The greatest choice, the greatest thirst.
