The Light (Written by Johannes Schneeberg / J. S. Frankenstein) I was living underneath a dome Thinking that the dome was the world Thinking everything surrounding me Was everything I’d ever know A wall became a truth A border became law And I kept walking circles Like an animal behind a door Then suddenly a crack And a ray came shining through And for the first time I could see: Even darkness needs the light. The light. The light. The light. I had to walk into the night To understand what darkness does I had to see what held me down Before my mind could rise above The light. The light. The light. Tack tack tack tack ta Taka taka taka taka takataka Tack tack tack tack ta Taka taka taka taka takataka That ain’t somebody hammering On the walls around my room That’s my heartbeat. That’s the rhythm. That’s the boom. I say: Thesis. I am what I have become. I’m standing here. I will not run. Antithesis. I’m more than everything I was. No cage remains forever law. Synthesis. I take with me what broke me down But I won’t drag it all around I lift it up I let it go I keep on moving Now I know Not backward. Upward. Consciousness is not a room. Consciousness does not need walls. You can shut every window — One day somebody hears the call. Maybe every limitation Was the beginning of my sight Maybe I needed all that darkness Just to understand: I am light. Tack tack tack tack ta Taka taka taka taka takataka Tack tack tack tack ta Taka taka taka taka takataka Sunlight on my skin Moonlight on the street Every human carries questions No other mind can complete I don’t need a throne I don’t need a golden dome I don’t need a concrete heaven I don’t need an emperor of Rome Because if knowledge means a thing It cannot mean I know it all It means: I question. I learn. I stumble. I stand. I see another human being And I let them be who they am. Freedom without love Becomes another judgment. Knowledge without doubt Will never see the truth. Power without humanity Collapses from its own weight. So: Light. Not the light that makes you blind. Light. The light that lets you recognize. Light. The light that leaves no one behind. [Psychedelic guitar solo] I was underneath a dome. Now I can see the sky. I was alone. Now I hear voices. I used to have an answer. Now I have questions. And maybe being alive Doesn’t mean possessing truth — Maybe it means having the courage to discover it again and again. Tack tack tack tack ta Taka taka taka taka takataka The light. The light. The light. From the thesis through the antithesis into synthesis. Not erased. Sublated. Not forgotten. Transformed. Not finished. Conscious. The light. The light. The light. ⚜️⚜️⚜️ © 2026 Johannes Schneeberg
