(1968 – Dreamy, piano-led psychedelic ballad) [Intro – Instrumental Reflection] (Soft piano chords shimmer under light tape echo. Bass enters lazily, drums just brush and breathe. Faint chime guitar panned left, organ whisper right.) [Verse 1] I saw myself in tomorrow’s mirror, The glass was warm, the image clear. He smiled at me like he somehow knew, All the things I’d never do. [Verse 2] He said, “The clock’s still ticking backwards, Don’t you chase what won’t appear. All the faces fade to silver, All the names you held so dear.” [Chorus] Tomorrow’s mirror shows the same old sky, The same old sun, just passing by. And though I blink, the years still lie — In tomorrow’s mirror, you and I. [Verse 3] There’s dust upon the morning window, Footprints where the dreamers tread. Every truth becomes a shadow, Every promise softly said. [Bridge] (Double-tracked vocal over piano and cello) “I tried to touch the glass and found it cold, My younger hands looked twice as old…” (Guitar swells like breathing. Mellotron strings bloom into the final chorus.) [Final Chorus + Outro] Tomorrow’s mirror, don’t fade away, I’ll see you there some other day. And if I forget the reasons why — You’ll remind me, by and by. (Fades on reversed piano chords and tape echo, heartbeat-like bass pulse.)
