Psalm 40 S1E2d3a Cb2a3a RFS 25|05|30

I waited, Oh so patiently! I waited, Oh so patiently! I waited, Oh so patiently! Then the Lord’s ear was inclined to me! Patiently I waited for the Lord; and my cry was heard as it went heavenward. [Verse] The Lord brought me up like a seed, Out from the fearsome pit. From the clay was I delivered when still yet in need, At thy holy rock you granted me to sit. My wandering feet were set on solid stone, and my path was set towards my God alone. [Verse] A song of praise the Lord has given my tongue, A hymn to God above, to our father divine, Many shall see and fear — many shall trust. Many shall turn to his mercy kind! Blessed is the one who trusts the Lord, Not respecting the proud or those who lie and scorn. [Pre-chorus 1] Many, Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done; Thy bounty always comes forth. Thy deeds cannot even be counted in a day, The vastness of thy goodness no tongue can say! [Solo] [Verse] Sacrifice and offering are not your desire, My ears you open Lord, to hear, No gift or offering is refined in the fire, But a heart of obedience, a heart sincere. Here I am, Here I be! May I do Thy will, As written in thy scroll with thy sacred quill [Pre-chorus 2] I delight to do thy will, O my God: Thy law is written now, yes, upon my heart. I go before the crowd, O Lord, and preach thy truth, My lips are not silent, neither quiet nor aloof. [Chorus 1] I never hide thy righteousness within my heart; I declare your fidelity and salvation! I share thy lovingkindness as to me you impart, I share thy truth to all the congregation! [Solo] [Verse] Withhold not, O Lord, thy tender mercy. Numberless evils have encircled my soul. May thy never-ending love and truth preserve me. My sins have bound me up and brought me low! More numerous my sins than the hairs of my head, Heavy still they are, bowing down my heart in dread. [Speed metal solo] [Bridge] Be pleased, Lord God to deliver me from harm, Make haste, to help me with -- your arm. Let those -- who seek destruction, only tearing me down, Fill them up with shame, help them turn themselves around. Let them be re-warded now with desolation, Lest mocking me, they wander from thy holy nation. [Pre-chorus 1] Many, Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done; Thy bounty always comes forth. Thy deeds cannot even be counted in a day, The vastness of thy goodness no tongue can say! [Chorus 2] Let all those that seek you rejoice! Let all those who seek you be glad in thee! If they love thy salvation let them raise their voice, “The Lord be magnified and gloried!!!” [Solo] [Verse] Though I am poor and needy, Yet the Lord thinks upon me: Thou art my help and thou art my deliverer; Please tarry not. Please save me. Please come hither. Though I am poor and needy, Lord still, You thoughtfully consider my will. [Interlude] You are my help, my only rescue true, Hasten Lord my God. See me through!
