No Intelligence Required - Two Dogs

[Intro — the chant, dry, over a kick, from the very first second. No build-up.] Two dogs! A peacock! And a horse! Two dogs! A peacock! And a horse! (No intelligence required) [Verse 1 — sung, lazy, sun in the voice] Don’t ask me what it’s paired with Don’t ask me about the nose It’s cold and it’s here and it’s Saturday And that’s all anybody knows Leave your brain at the gate Leave your shoes by the pool Nobody here is swirling Nobody here is cool [Pre-Chorus — the beat drops out, hands go up] The sun’s going down and nobody’s going home Pour it for the ones you know And the thousand that you don’t [Chorus — full drop, piano chords, everybody] No intelligence required Sun going down, volume going higher Two dogs, a peacock and a horse There’s no beach in Franschhoek Tonight there is, of course [Verse 2 — sung] Smooth and it’s fruity and it’s minding its own business It doesn’t want to mess with you It doesn’t want to fight Cold as the pool and easy as the afternoon And the afternoon runs into the night [Pre-Chorus] The sun’s going down and nobody’s going home Pour it for the ones you know And the thousand that you don’t [Chorus] No intelligence required Sun going down, volume going higher Two dogs, a peacock and a horse There’s no beach in Franschhoek Tonight there is, of course [Breakdown — chopped vocal, filter sweep, tropical percussion] On and on and on and on On and on and on and on (Two dogs! A peacock! And a horse!) On and on and on and on [Final Chorus — twice, biggest drop, chant layered underneath] No intelligence required Sun going down, volume going higher Two dogs, a peacock and a horse There’s no beach in Franschhoek Tonight there is, of course [Outro — beat only, chant fades] Two dogs! A peacock! And a horse! Two dogs! A peacock! And a horse!
