i waited by the edge of time for a day that never came the calendar just skipped a breath and forgot to say its name monday stretched into a loop wednesday came too fast and somewhere in the middle something vanished from the past tuesday called but no one answered now it echoes in my sleep like a promise left unopened like a secret time won’t keep i wrote it down in empty ink i tried to make it stay but you can’t remember something that was never given shape
