Verse 1 I thought I knew the road ahead, I had the picture in my mind. I knew the place, I knew the ending, I thought the stars had all aligned. Then something shifted without warning, and everything I knew was gone. I called it failure, called it losing, but life was quietly moving on. Pre-Chorus Some doors close before we understand. Some dreams break to make room for another plan. Chorus Maybe there was a better plan, one I could not see back then. Maybe what I thought was ending was where something new began. Maybe life was not against me, maybe it was taking my hand. I thought I lost the road I wanted, but I found a better plan. Verse 2 I spent some time looking behind me, asking why it had to change. Trying to hold what wasn’t staying, trying to make sense of the pain. But little by little, days kept turning, and something softer came along. A different road, a different future, and somehow it began to feel like home. Pre-Chorus We don’t always know what tomorrow understands. Sometimes letting go is the beginning of another plan. Chorus Maybe there was a better plan, one I could not see back then. Maybe what I thought was ending was where something new began. Maybe life was not against me, maybe it was taking my hand. I thought I lost the road I wanted, but I found a better plan. Bridge We write our wishes in the sand, but tides can change the view. And sometimes what we never chose becomes the thing that carries us through. So now I trust the turns I don’t know, the roads I never meant to take. Not every change is there to break us, some changes come to set us straight. Final Chorus Maybe there was a better plan, waiting somewhere out of sight. Maybe every closed door led me closer to the one that opened right. Now I don’t fear every ending, I don’t need to understand. Sometimes life takes what we planned for and gives us something better than planned. Outro I thought I knew. I didn’t. And maybe that was the better plan.
