The Gospel of Darkness v1-1

[Intro] [orchestral strings, operatic female vocalizations] [0:05 piano enters with low-register motif] [0:10 distorted guitar chugging enters] [0:15 full band enters, driving double-kick drums] (Ah-ah-ah) [Verse 1] [drums and guitar drop out, atmospheric pads and piano remain] [spoken male vocals] Eyes... and everywhere. They told us the same old tale. [0:28 full band re-enters with staccato orchestral hits] (Ho! Ho!) [Verse 2] [spoken male vocals] The darkness is full of evil things. Monsters beneath the earth. Demons hiding in the shadows. [shouted male vocals] Waiting beyond the edge of light! [0:48] Demons! Demons! Evil! Darkness! Darkness! [Chorus] [melodic male vocals, driving metal instrumentation] Something is always there. Something is always watching. Something they taught us to fear. [Verse 3] [clean guitar and strings] [melodic female vocals] From ancient tales to whispered prayers, From frightened hearts to sacred words, The unseen beasts were born again In every age, in every world. [Chorus] [full band, melodic male vocals] They gave the darkness eyes and teeth. They gave the night a thousand names. And blamed the unseen for every fear, Then dressed the shadows up as flames. [Bridge] [half-time feel, heavy guitar chords] [spoken male vocals] But why? Why must the darkness have a face? Why must the unknown have a name? [shouted male vocals] Who taught you to fear the dark? The dark! The dark! The dark! [Verse 4] [melodic male vocals] They said the darkness came from evil. They said the evil came from God. They built a throne above the shadows, Then called the shadows something wrong. [shouted male vocals] You call it truth! You call it faith! You call it sacred! You call it fate! But who created the creator? [Instrumental Break] [fast double-kick drums, orchestral string runs, heavy guitar riffs] [Outro] [music drops to piano and atmospheric pads] [spoken male vocals] Mostly because of religion. Well, yes. I thought so too. And perhaps you thought so too. But let me put your mind at ease. [melodic male vocals] There are no demons in the dark, No monsters waiting underneath, No ancient beasts behind the stars, No hungry gods beyond our reach. [shouted male vocals] There is no beast! No beast! No demon! No monster! No god! But if religion claims there must be a creator, Then answer me: Who created the creator? Who? Who? Who? Who? You say: Bring me evidence. Then where is yours? You say: God himself has spoken. Where did he speak? In this book. And why is the book true? Because God said so. Where did God say it? In his book. And who confirms the book? God himself! [04:05] God said it! Because God said it! God said it! [04:15] God said it! God said it! God said it! [04:25] Round and round the circle closes. What becomes truth? Because the word says so. Who spoke the word? God! Who wrote the word? God! Who proved the word? God! [04:40] You built the darkness out of fear. You gave it names and gave it laws. You raised a throne above the night, Then called its shadow Holy Ghost. But darkness needs no demon, And silence needs no throne. The unknown is unknown, And faith is not a proof. Not a proof! Not a proof! Not a proof! If God created everything, Then who created God? Who created the creator? [05:15] Always and everywhere, They told us to fear the darkness. But perhaps the darkness was never there. Only the story remained. The story remained. The story remained.
