Stars shone on my wrinkled face... looking down...with a frowned grace... The brightest one...calls my name and says... Saw you as a little one... Counting on us just for fun... You look so pale and frail... What have you been through oh little kid... Where are those giggles...you used to shower us with?... Seems like life gave you a tough time... But only toughest ones get to look back on us...after this long and tell us those nursery rhymes... We saw you fall and get up again... hovered over you through downpour and pain... thought you'd never look up and see... How many stars want you to be... How many of us aligned... to shimmer and fuel your light... Oh wrinkled kid...wrinkled kid... We twinkle still...twinkle still... We try our best to make you smile... It's just a matter of time... You give us a last look... And you become ours to assign... A new star in our clutter... A new glowing ball of brightness... To pave the way for kids... Who play on streets... in the night time... or accompany the ones who look upon you... making cold...a blanket of security....in this world of insecure nightmares...and you're the heavens...they seek and believe will end their sufferings...
