Today the world remembers A saint from long ago A child taken, broken Yet chosen still to go He walked through fear and darkness A stranger, bound in chains But freedom found his spirit And called him back again To a land that once had held him To speak of love and grace To tell of God’s great promise Shining in Jesus’ face He heard the call to follow He answered without fear Will we answer? Will we rise? Hear the truth beyond the noise Called to be disciples Called to be Your voice Prepare the way, prepare the way Let our lives reveal Your name In the quiet, in the flame We prepare the way John cried out in the desert “Turn your hearts around” A voice that shook the silence Till mercy could be found And Mary said “Yes” in wonder Held heaven in her hands A witness to His power Unfolding through God’s plan Different roads before us But one call we all hear Will we answer? Will we rise? Hear the truth beyond the noise Called to be disciples Called to be Your voice Prepare the way, prepare the way Let our lives reveal Your name In the quiet, in the flame We prepare the way Some are called to speak it loud Some to live it every day In the way we love each other In the words we choose to say Are we ready? Are we willing? Do our lives reflect Your light? Will they see Your love within us Or turn away from what they find? Search our hearts, O God Remind us why we believe Show us how Your grace Has changed everything in me We will answer, we will rise Lift Your truth into the sky We are Your disciples We will be Your light Prepare the way, prepare the way Let our lives reveal Your name With compassion, love, and grace We prepare the way Open ears to hear Your voice Open hearts to follow You In every step, in every choice Lord, we give our lives to You
