(Verse1] Coin flips leaving me in bittersweet misery, With every flip feeling closer to death. Yin and yang in constant rotation each month, Leaving my soul waning and waxing like the moons inside of me. The tide is drowning me, trying to find my calm, While black rain pours inside. Eyes wide closed, half lotus on a mat, The only subtle fix I know. Treading deep waters I must go, The Void—the only place where time slows, And depression doesn't show. Hope... a quiet echo that shows When chronic clouds are blown. Sinking in dross till my red eyes are closed. Skipped meditation three days now, Darkness fills my space, Solidifying I need a daily meditative pace. Friday can't wait... I can't take this anymore. Zazen on the break room floor, Four sober hours to go. Letting my emotions bleed down, Melting through the floor. Mind dripping shadows evermore, Draining my heart's core. (Verse 2) Inhale smoke... breathe out decay. Doja swirls and makes me sway. Conscious mind drifting slowly away, Melding with shadows till the light fades gray. Green essence filling both lungs, Hold it till the final ember's gone. Decarbing the soul while the bowl still glows, Floating little flames where the midnight grows. Bong water on my lips... Into the air it flows. Out of the lair where the cold wind blows. Blood to bone... Flesh to soul... Smoke to air... Black magic and skunk weed soften despair. Sitting calmly in the Void, Feeling every hidden fear. Crying every silent tear. Pour the vessel out... Fill it back with light.
