[Intro] Hey—! Lift your head, come on! [Verse 1] Hey, don’t stay down there Curled up in the dark In the shadows you can’t feel the wind Just one second, look ahead Hey, stretch your body out Let those white clouds in the sky Pull you up a little higher Come on now, reach out wide [Pre-Chorus] If you stay all folded up Your heart gets creased inside You don’t need no iron, no Fight gravity— You’ll rise [Chorus] Change your mood! Stand tall and live right now The sun’s not running away It’s waiting for us Change your mood! If you fall, just laugh it off This very day Is rock ’n’ roll, alright! [Verse 2] Hey, with all those sighs Even songs won’t wake up Yesterday’s like a wrinkled shirt Take it off, let it drop Hey, let your heart Feel the open air Even if some wrinkles stay That’s proof you’re really here [Pre-Chorus 2] If you keep looking down You’ll miss the color of the sky Every answer you’re looking for Is waiting down the road you try [Chorus] Change your mood! Tie your laces once again Walk straight toward The shining sun Change your mood— Yeah, shout it out loud! This very moment is Youth rock ’n’ roll! [Bridge] If you fall, just laugh If you’re lost, just sing This world still needs Everything you bring [Final Chorus] Change your mood! To a place where sunlight stays Side by side Let’s walk that way Change your mood! Tomorrow’s still blank and new Come on, let’s go— This road is rock ’n’ roll! [Outro] Hey—! Just one more step!
