**Under the Same December Sky** [Fast Instrumental Intro – prominent string quartet in the foreground; two violins, viola and cello play a catchy rhythmic pizzicato hook; live drums, melodic bass and acoustic guitar join at 122 BPM] [Verse 1] Snow is turning through the light. Boots are tapping on the floor. Someone laughs across the room. Someone opens one more door. Candles shine along the walls. Every face is drawing near. Strings are playing, glasses rise. Christmas finally is here. [Pre-Chorus – rising melody] If you came alone tonight, you are not alone now. Let the rhythm take your hand. We will show you how. [Chorus – bright, melodic and highly singable] Under the same December sky, we sing together, side by side. Warm in the middle of the snow, hold on tight and don’t let go. Under the same December sky, every heart comes alive tonight. One voice, one room, one light, under the same December sky. [String Quartet Dance – prominent rhythmic pizzicato violins and viola trade playful phrases with the cello; drums and bass maintain a strong danceable groove; no vocals] [Verse 2] Some have travelled many miles. Some came walking through the snow. Some still carry missing names only they will ever know. But every memory we bring finds a place within the sound. And when a thousand voices rise, no one here is looking down. [Pre-Chorus – stronger] If the year was hard on you, leave it at the door now. Let the rhythm take your hand. We are here for more now. [Chorus – full band with sweeping bowed strings] Under the same December sky, we sing together, side by side. Warm in the middle of the snow, hold on tight and don’t let go. Under the same December sky, every heart comes alive tonight. One voice, one room, one light, under the same December sky. [Instrumental Lift – string quartet changes from rhythmic pizzicato to fast sweeping bowed melodies; electric guitar and Hammond organ join without covering the strings] [Bridge – drums drop to a strong clapping pulse] [Shouted – German, energetic male voice, not sung] München, singt mit uns! [Audience Singalong] Under the same December sky! [Male Vocal] Louder! [Audience Singalong] Under the same December sky! [Full Band Re-entry – powerful drum fill] [Final Chorus – lead singer and audience together] Under the same December sky, we sing together, side by side. Warm in the middle of the snow, hold on tight and don’t let go. Under the same December sky, every heart comes alive tonight. One voice, one room, one light, under the same December sky. [Chorus Reprise – higher energy] Under the same December sky, Christmas keeps us side by side. Turn the music up tonight, under the same December sky! [Extended String-and-Guitar Finale – string quartet repeats the chorus hook while electric guitar plays a soaring counter-melody; driving drums, bass and Hammond organ continue the dance groove] [Final Audience Singalong] Under the same December sky! [Four Strong Rhythmic Band Hits] [Audience Cheers and Applause]
