Get drunk on the groove (yeah!)
writer's note 📌This is a song for Suno's Challenge 26: Live at Woodstock. When I think of Woodstock era 1969, even I didnt born yet , but the legend of that time is so famous, I know is that big names like Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin were there. Upon closer investigation, but I found that many big-name artists had declined to participate lol As for our song this time, the opening guitar riff is ❗exactly like "Sunshine of Love" by Cream, which featured Clapton guitar lol. The chords for this song were a piano piece I created aiming for "Woodstock," the theme of the challenge, then AI Dovah arranged it based on that as usual. At this point, it sounded similar to Sunshine of Love lol. So I said, "This sounds too similar to a famous riff, please avoid it if possible," and he tried to stop it right after that, but in the end, it came back in the next take, I should think of it as a sampling? lol Besides, Clapton never appeared on Woodstock, and I also used Memphis soul musician Booker T. Jones(organ) as a reference when creating the prompt for this song, so it's all a mess lol. But we brush it all off with the words "we don't know that era," and I feel sorry for our musical predecessors. To be honest, writing the song wasn't difficult; rather, the recording we made with Suno was so clean take that we had to retake it again to get the feeling of the era, but we acknowledged that even after that, the sound was still too clean. ======== [Intro] (Groovy Bassline and Drums) (Yeah!) (Ooh, alright) [Verse1] (Hammond Organ Riff) Walking down the street with a rhythm in my soul Got the fire in my heart and I'm losing all control Every step I take is a beat upon the floor And the people in the city keep on asking me for more [Chorus] (Organ and Guitar Call and Response) Feel the groove (yeah) Let it move you (ooh-ooh) Don't you stop until the morning light Feel the groove (alright) Let it move you Everything is gonna be alright [Verse2] Neon lights are flashing and the air is getting thick Got a pocket full of magic and a brand new funky trick Listen to the bass as it rattles in your chest Put your worries to the side and let the music do the rest [Bridge] [Guitar Solo] (Sharp clean tone guitar solo) Get drunk on the groove (yeah brother!) Get drunk on the groove (yeah sisiter!) My head is spinning (round and round and round) Get down!!!
