[Intro]
Black flag
Soft paws
Quiet deck
Deep cause

[Verse 1]
Maps rolled tight on the table
Salt stitched into my hands
You curl up close to the compass
Tail tapping out our plans
Sky has teeth on the edge there
Waves write warnings in spray
I feel the shiver inside me
Still I smile and I stay (oh yeah)

[Chorus]
A parrot is only flying to our new landscapes,
Coming back with branches,
Maybe a fruit to eat,
Bring the cat on our huge boat!
So that we are sinking with it
But we’re never going under
Holding every line we have
Through the roar and through the thunder
If the ocean wants a fight
Let it rage against our laughter
Do not sink it with the cat,
Because it won't survive alive!

[Verse 2]
Wind claws hard at the rigging
You blink slow
Calm and sure
Golden eye saying: Keep breathing...
This is what we came here for!
Boots slip
Bodies are swaying
Heartbeats drum in my throat
Still, I stand like a lighthouse does
Still, I sing to this boat my entire chorus

[Bridge]
Breathe in
Salt and freedom
Breathe out
Every doubt
You leap
To my shoulder
Soft crown
Through the shout (hey!)
If this
Is the ending
Let it
Be this bright
Two queens
On the railing
Daring
All that light

[Outro]
Paws first
Into sunrise
Storm spent
In our wake.
I keep
What we started.
Every risk
Ours to take...
