I loved the cats, I filled my page with their playful acts, I loved the sly, mischievous stare, and felt a feline joy to share their gentle paws upon my space. But this year takes a different place: to the forest of fairies, the wheat-field sprites, to the canopy calling, to geese in their flights, wrapped in the chorus of ducks on the strand, from which I wander, lost, unmanned, escaping the harsh reality of endless wars and cruelty, across this world so vast, so cold, that tramples children, weak and old. Still, I will try to hold the line, to balance words, yet keep them kind, and let my dearest kittens play upon the canvas of the day. So here I stand, both free and grand, a return to cats across the land.
