[Verse 1] It’s a beautiful day I’m stepping outside Shoes on the pavement Sun on my mind I got no reason To stay in the shade Baby, come with me now Let the whole thing play [Pre-Chorus] Yeah, the sky’s so wide And the time feels right Your hand in mine We can take our flight [Chorus] It’s a beautiful day Come on out and play Sweet melody And a nice beat, baby (nice beat) It’s a beautiful day Let it carry us away Sweet melody And a nice beat, baby (nice beat) [Verse 2] The grass looks green By the corner park Kids on the swings Laughing through the dark Got your smile Like a song I know One more step And the whole world glows [Pre-Chorus] Yeah, the sky’s so wide And the time feels right Your hand in mine We can take our flight [Chorus] It’s a beautiful day Come on out and play Sweet melody And a nice beat, baby (nice beat) It’s a beautiful day Let it carry us away Sweet melody And a nice beat, baby (nice beat) [Bridge] If the clouds roll in We can dance right through Every little gray thing Turns gold with you [Chorus] It’s a beautiful day Come on out and play Sweet melody And a nice beat, baby (nice beat) It’s a beautiful day Let it carry us away Sweet melody And a nice beat, baby (nice beat)
