Paranoia Hotel (Spooky Swing Contest)

[Verse 1] Room 204 has my old name Written underneath the door There's a photograph beside the bed Of somewhere I've never been before Room 305 has your perfume Still hanging in the air I hear somebody laughing softly But when I look there's no one there The elevator knows my floor Before I press the button And every time the doors slide open Something feels forgotten [Pre-Chorus] I came here looking for a room I never knew existed Now every door I open Shows me something I've been missing [Chorus] Welcome to the Paranoia Hotel Where every room knows me too well Every mirror tells a different lie Every floor takes something from my mind Welcome to the Paranoia Hotel I don't remember checking in If I leave before the morning comes Will I still know who I've been? [Verse 2] Room 411 is full of flowers All of them are dead There's a birthday cake beneath the window With tomorrow's date ahead Someone left a key beside it With a note that says my name I turn around to find the hallway Doesn't look the same The television flickers on And there I am on screen Standing somewhere in this hotel Twenty years ago today [Pre-Chorus] I came here looking for the truth But truth has different faces Every answer pulls another thread And something starts to change [Chorus] Welcome to the Paranoia Hotel Where every room knows me too well Every mirror tells a different lie Every floor takes something from my mind Welcome to the Paranoia Hotel I don't remember checking in If I leave before the morning comes Will I still know who I've been? [Bridge] Floor thirteen. No room number. No exit sign. Just a door. [Whispered] I know what's behind it. [Pause] I just don't know why I locked it. [Build] Don't open it. Don't open it. DON'T OPEN IT! [Drop] [Final Chorus] Welcome to the Paranoia Hotel Now I know it knows me well Every mirror finally tells the truth Every room was hiding something I knew Welcome to the Paranoia Hotel I remember checking in I wasn't looking for a place to stay... I was hiding from myself. [Outro] The elevator doors close. Floor thirteen. The button lights up by itself.
