Keys, Covenants, and Easter (Quentin L. Cook) [Apr 2026]
On Easter morn we celebrate His name, The risen Lord who broke death’s heavy chain. In Kirtland Temple, one bright Easter day, The Savior came and keys were given away. Keys and covenants, the sealing power divine, Bind our families for eternal time. Elijah’s keys turn hearts to fathers dear, Because He lives, eternal bonds are here. Moses brought the gathering keys so bright, Elias came with gospel truth and light. Elijah sealed the power to bind on earth, Husbands, wives, and children from their birth. Keys and covenants, the sealing power divine, Bind our families for eternal time. Elijah’s keys turn hearts to fathers dear, Because He lives, eternal bonds are here. The Atonement paid the price for every soul, Resurrection makes the broken whole. Temples stand as beacons in the night, Covenants lead us to celestial light. We honor covenants with faithful hearts, Turn to our fathers, never drift apart. Vicarious work for those who’ve gone before, Sealing families forevermore. Keys and covenants, the sealing power divine, Bind our families for eternal time. Elijah’s keys turn hearts to fathers dear, Because He lives, eternal bonds are here. He lives, He lives, our resurrected King, His keys and covenants make our spirits sing. On this Easter day we testify anew, Through Christ we live eternally with You.
