Nothing But Jesus

[Nothing But Jesus] [Verse 1] I could stand before the crowd Try to make my voice sound loud Find the words to turn their heads Make them hang on what I said But Paul came with a different plan Not the wisdom of a man Weak and trembling, yet he knew The cross was all he had to prove [Pre-Chorus] Not my words Not my fame Not the power of my name Let the world see Let them know There's one truth I came to show [Chorus] Nothing but Jesus! Nothing but the cross! Nothing but the Savior Who came to save the lost! Not in human wisdom Not in words that fade away My faith rests in His power Not in anything I say! [Verse 2] I don't need the world's applause Or a thousand clever words I don't need to prove I'm wise Or be praised before their eyes Let the Spirit demonstrate What no human words can make Hearts awakened, lives made new By the power found in You [Pre-Chorus] Not my strength Not my skill But the power of Your will Let the world see Let them know There's one truth I came to show [Chorus] Nothing but Jesus! Nothing but the cross! Nothing but the Savior Who came to save the lost! Not in human wisdom Not in words that fade away My faith rests in His power Not in anything I say! [Bridge] When my words are not enough When my voice begins to shake I will trust the Spirit's power Not the speeches I can make Take away my pride and glory Let the cross become my story All I have and all I bring Is Christ crucified, my King! [Final Chorus] Nothing but Jesus! Nothing but the cross! Nothing but the Savior Who came to save the lost! Not in human wisdom Not in words that fade away My faith rests in His power Not in anything I say! [Outro – Short, fading vocals] Not my wisdom Not my name Only Jesus gets the praise Christ crucified My hope, my life Nothing but Jesus Christ
