[Verse 1] When the road asks more than I can give I remember why I rise and live Not for praise that fades by morning light But to serve with all my strength and might You see the quiet work no one can see The patient hands, the heart that bends the knee When teaching feels like climbing through the rain You give me courage to begin again [Pre-Chorus] I may not know what waits beyond today But I know You have power to make a way [Chorus] Jehovah, You are faithful to the one who seeks Your face You give a calm within me and a hope no time can take So I will give my very best, with steady hands and true The reward is not the world’s applause The reward is found in You [Verse 2] Let my words be firm and still be kind Let my life leave a faithful path behind For the young, the old, the weak, the strong Let my example help them carry on Like Timothy, I’ll keep the living God At the center of the path that I have trod In the congregation, in the field I’ll teach with love and let Your truth be real [Pre-Chorus] When serving others costs me more than planned I feel Your peace and place my work in Your hands [Chorus] Jehovah, You are faithful to the one who seeks Your face You give a calm within me and a hope no time can take So I will give my very best, with steady hands and true The reward is not the world’s applause The reward is found in You [Bridge] You measure every act of love Every mile, each sacrifice You know the prayers we cannot form You turn our faith into a life And if the future seems unknown Your promise still is holding me Everlasting life ahead Your peace is here with me [Final Chorus] Jehovah, You are faithful to the one who seeks Your face You give a calm within me and a hope no time can take So I will give my very best, with steady hands and true The reward is not the world’s applause The reward is found in You [Outro] I’ll keep on seeking, I’ll keep on serving With peaceful trust in You The reward is not the world’s applause The reward is found in You
