Story: Centuries in the future, Earth has become nearly uninhabitable beneath poisoned skies and permanent storms. Humanity survives underground under the control of an authoritarian regime. Elias, a young mechanic, discovers an abandoned observatory where he meets Lyra, a mysterious young woman hiding after her family disappeared searching for another world. Together they discover plans for humanity's final hidden colony ship. As government forces pursue them through ruined megacities, abandoned spaceports and frozen wastelands, they fall deeply in love while fighting for the last chance to escape. The cinematic instrumental passages represent the chase, sacrifice, launch sequence and ascent into space. The final chorus begins as their ship finally breaks free from Earth's atmosphere. The dying planet fades behind them while the first sunrise of a new world fills the cockpit. The song ends quietly with ambient synths, piano and distant stars as they realize that home was never a place—it was each other. Ashes fall from a lifeless sky Cities buried where the children hide Every sunrise fades to gray Another dream gets washed away Among the ruins our paths collide Two broken hearts with nowhere to hide One last hope beneath the stone A silent ship to take us home Hold on now Don't let go Beyond these walls There's more to know Beyond the dying sky We'll leave the darkness far behind Hand in hand we'll learn to fly Together through the endless night Beyond the dying sky Where hope is waiting in the light If the stars still shine somewhere I'll find forever waiting there Engines wake beneath the dust Running now because we must Sirens echo through the rain Love is stronger than their chains If the world forgets our names We'll write new ones among the stars If tomorrow never comes Tonight is already ours Beyond the dying sky We watched the old world disappear Every mile we leave behind Brings a brighter future near Beyond the dying sky A brand new sun begins to rise At the edge of all we've known I finally found my way back home Beyond the dying sky... You were always home...
